The slow melody contest. . .
Just wanted to air my views on the event as it was a first time effort.
I thought the day was absolutely brilliant! The soloists all did themselves proud as it was a brand new experience to nearly all of them.
The organisation was superb and it went off like clockwork.
The fact that so many people - friends family and supporters - turned up was outstanding and gives the event a very bright green light for a repeat next year.
The food was spot on and it was pleasing to see so many willing helpers.
I thought David Clark did an outstanding job. It always helps to know the adjudicator is a human being too. I happen to know he was paticularly pleased that so many of the soloists took the time to go and discuss his written comments.
What say you? C'mon, don't be
Nige.

Slow melody contest
Having spoken with David he is really impressed with the whole fabric of the band, all we have to do is move forward now.
Put what we have started in the contest piece over onto the concert pad and we will advance well with our performance.
Onwards and forwards
