Our collective decision to practice.
I'd like to reiterate what was said a couple of weeks back during our discussion in the band room:
If all my readers recall, we made a decision to commit more effort to the band. That means practising at home and bringing the resulting improvement to rehearsals.
As I've said, I can't point to myself as 'most regular attender of the year' but I do make the effort whenever work allows. If we all make the effort, Welbeck will improve. In turn, that will give other players the incentive to have a blow with us and then the snowball effect stands a chance of starting.
A band is no different to a football/netball/cricket team. The members who don't make the effort to practise and attend are not only letting themselves down, they're letting the rest of the team down too.
I honestly believe we have the talent to eventually stand shoulder to shoulder with the other bands in the district if - and if is the key word here - we all make the effort.
I really do hope we can all pull in the same direction and put Welbeck back on the road to success.
Regards to all,
Nige.
